A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Process Engineer to support a high-volume injection molding operation. This individual will play a critical role in process development, troubleshooting, validation, equipment startup, and continuous improvement initiatives across a diverse fleet of injection molding equipment.
This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging technical projects, including process optimization, mold sampling, equipment transfers, and new manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex manufacturing problems, improving process performance, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive operational excellence.
What You'll Do- Develop, establish, and optimize robust injection molding processes for production and new product launches.
- Troubleshoot molding processes and manufacturing equipment to improve quality, efficiency, and uptime.
- Support mold sampling, process development, and production startup activities.
- Lead and support process validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
- Analyze manufacturing data to identify process improvements and reduce variability.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, and Production teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Assist with equipment transfers, startup projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply scientific molding principles to establish repeatable and sustainable manufacturing processes.
- Support efforts to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in injection molding process engineering or manufacturing engineering.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and optimizing injection molding processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience analyzing process data and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
- Strong problem‑solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Scientific molding experience.
- Experience with RJG cavity pressure monitoring systems and/or eDART process monitoring.
- Experience supporting mold sampling and process development.
- Experience working with Engel, Nissei, Milacron, or similar injection molding equipment.
- Experience with in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, medical device, healthcare, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Master Molder certification or equivalent training is a plus.
