Repair Technician II – Responsibilities

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, drawings, and parts lists, gathering necessary parts and tools.
• Position parts and subassemblies using templates, fixtures, or measured dimensions.
• Assemble components, ensuring correct fit and fastening of subassemblies.
• Troubleshoot damage or defects in the robotic vehicle or subassemblies to determine required repairs.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Document actions by completing repair logs, travelers, and quality forms.
• Test electromechanical subassemblies for functionality and quality.
• Work effectively in small teams.
• Identify anomalies and stoppages in the robotic vehicle fleet using schematic and wiring diagrams.
• Assist engineers with activities for robotic improvements.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing assembly environment.
• Proficient with schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical test equipment.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and initiative.
• Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to train contractors on required tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Hands‑on skill set with a willingness to learn and absorb information in a demanding environment.

• Work in a high‑swing robot assembly facility with steep stairs and railings; frequent stair climbing and navigation of automation structures.
• Work at heights up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches; ability to stand, climb, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
• Handle temperatures ranging from 105°F to 32°F; protect against weather conditions in outdoor areas.
• Use protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, safety vest, steel‑toed boots, eye and ear protection, fall‑protection harnesses.
• Lift items up to 50lbs and move items up to 80lbs; stand and walk for up to 12 hours.
• Perform repetitive tasks involving bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, gripping, and conveying with both hands and feet.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including lock‑out/tag‑out and fall‑protection procedures.

Base pay range: $22.60–$31.21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
