Production Operator

Ashland Specialty Ingredients is seeking a Chemical Operator for its Specialty Ingredients G.P Business in Wilmington, DE. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, environmental procedures and guidelines.
• Receive materials into the limited access warehouse (LAW) per the appropriate procedures.
• Prepare for production, raw material, staging and weighing.
• Perform all manufacturing duties per the associated work instruction including set‑up, operation and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.
• Perform all necessary SAP transactions.
• Package final product & prepare shipments.
• Complete all GMP documentation.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the GMP production area.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays and overtime as required; must work on rotating shifts.
• Must possess good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Must lift 55 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must possess a high level of mechanical aptitude.
• Must clearly record observations in written form.
• Must follow and complete written directions.
• Must be able to work around strong magnets.

• Experience in GMP or chemical manufacturing.
• Fork lift experience.
• General computer experience.
