Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Observation Unit. FT Day Shift 7a-7p. Weekend & Holidays per department guidelines.

Wilmington, DE. Christiana Care is opening a new Medical Observation Unit at Wilmington Hospital. This position requires availability for weekends and holidays as determined by department guidelines.

Unit Information

The 3 Medical Observation Unit (3

MOU) is an 8-bed unit dedicated to the care of adult medical patients admitted under observation status. Common diagnoses include ruling out stroke, syncope, and chest pain—conditions necessitating further evaluation and testing beyond the Emergency Department.

• Dynamic, fast-paced environment with high patient turnover.
• Average length of stay typically between 12–32 hours.
• Patients requiring inpatient care will be transitioned to the appropriate inpatient unit.
• Opportunities for cross-training on 3 West, Wilmington Hospital’s 9-bed cardiac care unit, focused on short-stay patients with primary cardiac diagnoses.

• DE RN license or Compact RN license.
• BSN preferred or the commitment to obtaining a BSN within 3 years of hire.
• All applicants must have two years of RN experience. Acute care or sub-acute care experience is preferred.
• BLS required.

Additional Information

• Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05
• This pay rate/range reflects Christiana Care’s good-faith estimate of compensation al salary depends on factors including skills, experience, and qualifications related to job requirements.
