Certified Nurse Midwife, Inpatient, Newark, DE

Overview

Christiana Care Health System is currently seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to work full-time inpatient in a Day/Evening/Night position on the Newark Campus. The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide care to low-risk women seeking obstetrical care primarily on labor and delivery as well as a supporting role in OBGYN Triage. You will be responsible for the management of the low-risk woman and fetus with consultation/collaborative care as appropriate.

This position works closely with our OB/GYN physicians and ancillary staff in the hospital and OBGYN Triage.

The provider will evaluate, diagnose and treat obstetrical and GYN patients, perform deliveries, assist physicians through deliveries, and manage the care of women during labor and delivery within established protocols, guidelines, and procedures.

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing and maintenance of state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• At least two years of experience working as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
• Completion of a Certified Nurse Midwife degree (CNM) and board certification as a CNM.
• National certification by ANCC or ACCRM.
• State licensure as a CNM (Delaware and Maryland).
• Prescriptive Authority, DEA registration, and BLS required.
