Job Summary
Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the team for a part‑time, day‑shift position.
Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 am–4 pm.
- Adheres to hospital nursing practice standards, demonstrates appropriate history and physical assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Implements appropriate nursing actions for each patient identified.
- Thorough history and physicals are performed on every patient in the wound center.
- Makes decisions that reflect both knowledge of facts and sound judgment.
- Discusses with and includes patient/family/significant other about planned patient care and expected outcomes and documents it.
- Identifies and appropriately utilizes multidisciplinary approach to facilitate delivery of patient care.
- Evaluates the patient’s/significant other’s understanding of instructions.
- Provides written instructions and materials to patients and families.
- Reviews preventive health measures with patients and families, documenting understanding of instructions.
- Completes all charts/forms accurately and timely.
- Receives and gives a knowledgeable and concise patient report to others as needed.
- Initiates clinical pathways/plan of care for appropriate patient population at first visit.
- Updates and initiates care plans and pathways as patients’ needs change.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- At least 3 years’ clinical experience, preferably in wound care.
- Wound Care certification preferred; will consider candidates who can obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
