Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

The Registered Nurse – Emergency Room provides immediate, high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions or trauma in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires rapid assessment, critical thinking, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team to stabilize patients and deliver lifesaving interventions.

• Perform rapid and accurate assessment of emergency patients to determine severity and immediate care needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Assist physicians and emergency medical staff during diagnostic tests, procedures, and emergency interventions.
• Document patient care, treatments, and observations thoroughly and accurately.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and emergency care standards.
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and supplies.
• Participate in emergency drills and continuous professional development.

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency or acute care.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience in emergency nursing or critical care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

• Registered Nurse (RN) License – active and in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – preferred.
