Christiana Care Cardiology – Registered Nurse II (Avenue North)

Location:

Wilmington, Delaware. Cardiology at Avenue North provides comprehensive cardiovascular care and advanced diagnostic services including EKGs, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. The department offers specialized programs for women’s heart health and familial cardiovascular risk assessment.

Monday through Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

• Provide comprehensive, relationship-based care to adult and geriatric cardiology patients in virtual and clinic settings.
• Conduct telephone triage and nurse visits.
• Manage transitional care and advance care planning.
• Oversee disease management and patient education.
• Administer medication and perform diagnostic testing.
• Coordinate cardiology procedures.
• Act as a liaison between patients and the care team.
• Support prescription refill management.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Respond to urgent patient needs.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Travel to additional clinic locations as needed.

• Graduate of a state-approved or National League of Nursing accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey, depending on location.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a registered nurse; primary care experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred;
  Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with agreement to complete BSN within 3 years.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
