Senior Research Technologist
- Lead, oversee, and independently set up and perform experiments and procedures in support of laboratory goals and grant commitments (e.g., assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, equipment planning and ordering, etc.).
- Contribute to planning, design, and modification of studies and experiments in the research lab setting.
- Collect, enter, summarize, and analyze experimental data for presentations at local, regional, national, and international meetings, as well as manuscripts and grant applications.
- Monitor results, report unusual outcomes/errors, and suggest modifications.
- Directly involved in preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals and/or in preparation of grant applications of interest to the laboratory.
- May oversee and assist with the training of residents, fellows, and temporary lab personnel in lab techniques.
- Perform advanced safety functions in the laboratory.
- Ensure viability of materials, reagents, and specimens.
- Participate in and present at research laboratory meetings.
