Job Summary (Primary Function)

  • Lead a hematology and blood coagulation disease program.
  • Develop biomarker strategies and translational research for use in ongoing human clinical studies of a novel treatment for congenital bleeding disorders.
  • Collaborate with industry and academic partners to evaluate the novel treatment as a universal hemostatic therapy for numerous bleeding disorders.
Essential Functions
  • Lead translational strategy for one or more hematology/coagulation programs from early discovery through clinical proof-of-concept and beyond.
  • Design and oversee biomarker strategies for coagulation cascade biology and bleeding/thrombotic risk assessment.
  • Perform ongoing data review, analysis, interpretation, and documentation to inform key clinical development decisions.
  • Translate clinical and nonclinical translational findings into actionable trial designs with clinical partners.
  • Provide input on companion diagnostic development where relevant.
  • Represent Translational Science in regulatory interactions (e.g., IND/CTA-enabling packages, end-of-Phase meetings) as required.
  • Mentor and provide scientific leadership across the Translational Sciences organization.
  • Author/review scientific documents (investigator brochures, protocol synopses, regulatory briefing documents, publications).
Qualifications / Skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • High emotional intelligence; collaborative with diverse internal/external groups.
  • Interest in fostering scientific curiosity and open idea exchange.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and balance execution.
  • Passion for human biology and studying disease and treatment-associated biological changes.
  • Strong scientific background with an advanced degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) and a track record of excellent science.
