Bellefonte Café is seeking an experienced Bartender/Server to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working both behind the bar and on the floor in a small, fast-moving restaurant environment. Our bar program emphasizes classic cocktails, consistency, and thoughtful hospitality, and our service style is attentive, professional, and guest-focused.

Availability for both day and evening shifts is required. Prior bartending experience is required.

• Take drink and food orders and provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests
• Prepare classic cocktails, wine, beer, and house specialty drinks with consistency and care
• Serve guests at the bar and at tables as needed during service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bar and service area
• Verify legal drinking age and comply with all state and federal alcohol service laws
• Accurately process payments and operate the POS system
• Monitor, restock, and assist with ordering bar inventory and supplies
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and bar prep
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service

• Previous bartending experience required
• Experience serving tables in a restaurant setting preferred
• Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails and foundational mixology
• Must be comfortable executing classic cocktails accurately without relying on recipes
• Mixology or hospitality certification a plus, but not required
• High school diploma or GED
• Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
• Excellent attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
• Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills
• Team-oriented mindset and professional demeanor
