Store Sales Associate

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Calls out prices for customers when ringing transactions
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a transaction
• Handles cash, checks and credit cards according to company policy
• Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks
• Maintains housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service, including greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, and thanking customers for shopping
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels
• Assists management with tasks per company policy
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Assists Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures and reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
