Our Retail Counter Sales People are responsible for providing a superior customer service experience to all walk‑in customers.

Responsibilities
  • In‑Person Sales:
    Provide immediate, high‑quality service to all walk‑in retail and wholesale customers.
  • Parts Identification:
    Use inventory software to help customers find exact matches for their vehicles with the vehicles on‑site.
  • Sales:
    Actively manage the front counter area, processing cash and credit transactions using POS systems.
  • Yard Coordination:
    Communicate directly with parts pullers to retrieve parts for customers that want the company to pull their parts for them.
  • Merchandising & Displays:
    Set up and maintain physical displays of popular parts (e.g., batteries, fluids, tools) to drive impulse sales.
  • Core & Returns Management:
    Inspect physical parts returned by walk‑in customers to verify condition and process credits or warranty claims.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements Basic Qualifications
    • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a strong customer service background.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively.
    • High School or G.E.D. Equivalent preferred. College coursework desired.
    • Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
    • Two to three years of prior customer service relations preferred.
    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Ability to establish priorities and demonstrate effective time‑management skills.
    • Must be able to work in a team‑oriented environment.
    • Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
    • Must have strong problem‑solving skills.
    • Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.
    Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
    • Office environment, requires walking, standing, or sitting for several hours at a time.
    • Perform repetitive motion tasks on computer.
