Boscov’s Retail Sales Manager – Cosmetics & Jewelry

Boscov’s is a chain of full-service department stores that has served customers for over 100 years, offering a broad selection of quality merchandise.

As a member of the management team, the Cosmetics & Jewelry Department Manager will supervise and participate in the merchandising/set up of the selling floor to provide maximum sales and customer service.

• Supervise the cosmetics and fine/fashion jewelry departments and their coworkers
• Provide customer service as per company standards, product knowledge of cosmetic products and all other components of customer service.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and paperwork, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Track daily/weekly sales and complete sales reports.
• Maintain an awareness of advertised merchandise and ensure all ads are set & signed properly.
• Manage the activities of the sales and stock functions.
• Aid in training and coaching of cosmetics beauty advisors to help them achieve sales goals.
• Supervise and participate in the coaching of fine/fashion jewelry sales personnel to provide maximum sales and customer service.
• Attend training sessions held by cosmetics lines as needed.
• Complete weekly schedules with Human Resources.

Successful candidates for the Cosmetics & Jewelry Department Manager role have the ability to lead a retail sales team to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous cosmetics management experience preferred
• Prior retail sales management experience
• Cosmetology license a plus
• Prior retail and/or selling experience in Fine Jewelry/Gemstones preferred
• Strong selling and/or customer service experience preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Problem solving, motivation, delegation, initiative, and leadership
• Ability to learn computer systems, POS register, telxon, and interpret reports
• Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including evenings and weekends
