Summary

Location:

219 S. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28403.

Role:
Sales Associate – New and Used Vehicles. Responsibilities include selling vehicles, ensuring customer satisfaction, and meeting dealership sales goals.

Responsibilities
  • Meets dealership sales goals.
  • Greets customers and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom or on demonstration drive.
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
  • Computes and quotes sales price, including tax, trade‑in allowance, and discount.
  • Completes paperwork accompanying vehicle sales, including sales slip or sales contract.
  • Arranges for delivery and registration of vehicle.
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment.
  • Engages in business development.
  • Addresses customer concerns.
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company’s Core Values.
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures.
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
Education and Experience
  • Desired

    Education:

    GED, High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate Degree.
  • Field of Study/

    Work Experience:

    Accounting, Automotive, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology.
  • Desired

    Work Experience:

    up to 3 years, 3-5 years, 5+ years.
  • Education/

    Experience:

    Prior sales and/or customer service experience desired.
  • Certificates and Licenses:
    Valid Driver’s License, Automobile Salesperson License.
Skills
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products and intermediate ability to learn web applications for customer management.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
  • Attendance Requirements:
    Regular and predictable attendance; scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands:
    Regular talk or hearing; frequent standing, walking, and sitting; heavy standing work.
  • Environment Demands:
    Duties performed indoors and outdoors, including customer test drives; exposure to various work environments.
