Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and retain profitable business relationships, generating quota revenues through transportation, logistics services, and related opportunities.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of customer, competitive and market conditions.
- Develop and execute successful account sales strategies, using available tools, technology, network personnel and training.
- Demonstrate internal and external communication excellence through written and verbal communication for a wide range of audiences.
- Define the optimal target account by analysing the sales arena and applying positioning strategies to exploit SEKO’s value proposition.
- Provide management with sales activity recaps, business opportunities, results and competitor information.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training, workshops, publications, networking and professional societies.
- Develop and execute an annual business plan, consistent with the National Sales Plan, for the assigned territory and submit it to Global Sales leadership.
- Conduct sales calls, client entertainment, travel and weekend or evening sales activities as required for business development.
- Comply with SEKO’s C-TPAT Security Profile and uphold SEKO’s Core Values.
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace, following safe work procedures.
- Co‑operate with management to fulfill legislative obligations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Strong working knowledge and ability to develop and apply sales strategies at every level of a client’s organization.
- Proficient probing ability to identify customers, potential solutions and SEKO opportunities.
- Positive, can‑do attitude with a compelling vision for the sales region; accepts ownership and accountability for actions and results.
- Effective closing ability that brings the sales cycle to a successful conclusion.
- Strong objection handling skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong relationship management skills, developing rapport and adding value for clients and SEKO.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills to attain and maintain margins.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to remain effective while traveling.
- PC literate; intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, web-based applications and job‑specific software.
- Ability to become proficient in SEKO’s technology solutions.
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience. Minimum five years sales experience required. Preferred:
Minimum ten years’ industry sales experience.
Base salary range: USD 100,000 – USD 130,000.
