The Role:

We are looking for our next Bio Pharma Business Developer within our Health & Pharma Solutions team. The Bio Pharma Business Developer will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing the Bio Pharma sales strategy across North America (US & Canada), with a strong focus on accelerating growth, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and supporting the successful launch and adoption of Roquette's innovative Bio Pharma solutions.

This position is located in North America, with potential work locations in Geneva, Wilmington, or Philadelphia, and may be remote depending on business needs.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $132,000- $198,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement the Bio Pharma sales strategy for North America, aligned with regional business priorities and Roquette's global Health & Pharma growth ambition.
  • Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with key Bio Pharma customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities, including strategic customers, emerging accounts, new market segments, and prospecting opportunities.
  • Lead strategic customer discussions, business reviews, joint development opportunities, commercial negotiations, and supply agreement discussions.
  • Drive commercial execution for new product launches and innovation platforms across North America.
  • Provide cross-functional leadership for major customer and internal projects, coordinating Sales, Technical Development, Marketing, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Care.
  • Share Bio Pharma market intelligence, competitive insights, customer needs, and technical trends with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of sales activities, customer interactions, opportunities, forecasts, and project status in CRM systems.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to represent Roquette and build relationships with customers and distributors.

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or University Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field. An advanced degree or business qualification would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sales, Business Development, Strategic Account Management, or Technical Sales within Bio Pharma, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Ingredients, Specialty Ingredients, or Chemical industries.
  • Proven track record in developing sales strategies, managing strategic customer relationships, delivering sales growth, negotiating commercial or supply agreements, and working with customer R&D, Process Development, Quality, Operations, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing teams.

Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable)

  • This role has no direct supervisory responsibility, but will provide coaching, guidance, and influence to North American Business Developers and cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

  • This role is performed in a remote or office-based environment, with regular interaction with customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders across North America.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, use standard office equipment, and travel to customer or business locations as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Flexibility is required to support customer needs and collaboration across North American time zones. Significant travel within North America may be required depending on customer and business needs (approximately 50% travel)
