Field Helper​/Assistant Fire Alarm Technician

Must be a motivated self-starter who will work with and assist the Lead technicians. They should have a sense of urgency, be detail-focused, well organized, and work well in a fast-paced environment. A Field Apprentice should demonstrate the ability to comprehend and perform various labor duties, take direction, and execute tasks with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

• Completes all work in a professional, timely, and thorough manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with both our external and internal customers.
• Communicate effectively with our customer base while providing a high level of customer service.
• Attend out-of-state training when presented and participate in local training to maintain necessary skills.
• Complete any additional assignments above and beyond normal work duties.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel within our geographical area without restraints.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and listening skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a group environment as well as independently.
• Organized, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet time constraints.
• Excellent skills using basic Microsoft functions including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service and the ability to work well with others.
• Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
• Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Capable of performing physical labor.
• Proficient in the use of computer systems and related programs, including MS Office and iPhone apps.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
