LocationSt. Francis Hospital
Position Purpose- Responsible for the quality of electrical service, including lighting, power equipment, power transfer stations, motors and generators, electrical distribution, intercommunication systems, and other various pieces of equipment throughout the hospital campus.
- Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
- Perform and troubleshoot preventive and corrective maintenance on primary and secondary electrical systems to include power distribution systems, automatic transfer switches, emergency switch gear, transmission feeders, generators, device testing, and inspection of fire alarm systems.
- Install new circuits, wiring, and equipment.
- Respond to emergency system breakdowns, power outages, and equipment failures.
- Support organizational and campus electrical demand management.
- Maintain and repair motor control systems.
- Oversee and coordinate electrician‑focused construction activities and maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
- Assist other trade maintenance technicians as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of commercial electrical as normally obtained through completion of an accredited trade/vocational school.
- Minimum of 5 years as a DE‑licensed master or journeyman electrician, and/or has the ability to obtain a DE electrician’s license within one year of hire.
- Possess strong systems acumen paired with troubleshooting prowess.
- Responsive, service‑oriented approach to maintenance tasks.
- Independent problem solver with a knack for task and project completion.
- Effective communicator with a technical and process‑centric mindset.
- Experience in a hospital and/or pharmaceutical environment a plus.
