Location:
St. Francis Hospital
- Responsible for the quality of electrical service, including lighting, power equipment, power transfer stations, motors and generators, electrical distribution, intercommunication systems, and other equipment throughout the hospital.
- Performs and troubleshoots preventive and corrective maintenance on primary and secondary electrical systems, including power distribution systems, automatic transfer switches, emergency switch gear, transmission feeders, generators, device testing, fire alarm system inspections, etc.
- Installs new circuits, wiring, and equipment.
- Responds to emergency system breakdowns, power outages, and equipment failures.
- Supports organizational and campus electrical demand management.
- Maintains and repairs motor control systems.
- Oversees and coordinates electrician-focused construction activities and maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
- Assists other trade maintenance technicians as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of 5 years as a DE‑licensed master or journeyman electrician, and/or the ability to obtain a DE electrician’s license within one year of hire.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems typically obtained through completion of an accredited trade/vocational school.
- Strong systems acumen with troubleshooting skills.
- Responsive, service‑oriented approach to maintenance tasks.
- Independent problem solver with a knack for task and project completion.
- Effective communicator with a technical and process‑centric mindset.
- Experience in a hospital and/or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
