Electrician
This role focuses on installing electrical systems in apartment complexes, townhome communities, and other multi-unit developments. You start at 6:00 a.m. and work on new construction and renovation projects, contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The position requires strong technical ability, an understanding of construction timelines, and the ability to deliver high-quality electrical installations safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Install electrical systems in apartment complexes, townhome communities, and other multi-unit residential developments.
- Perform new construction electrical work, including rough-in, trim-out, and final installation for multi-family projects.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute work accurately.
- Install, run, and secure conduit, including conduit bending, conduit routing, and proper support according to code.
- Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring and cable for power, lighting, and other building systems.
- Install, align, and secure lighting fixtures, devices, panels, and associated electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, identify issues, and perform repairs in a safe and timely manner.
- Use hand tools and standard electrical tools to complete installations, repairs, and adjustments.
- Follow NEC and local electrical codes to ensure all installations meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate work with other trades and follow construction schedules to keep projects on time.
- Work independently or as part of a crew to complete assigned tasks and support project goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on job sites.
- Report progress, issues, and needs to supervisors or project leads as required.
- Arrive consistently on time for a 6:00 a.m. start and maintain reliable attendance.
- Experience in new construction electrical work, with multi-family residential experience preferred.
- Approximately 5 years of electrical experience is ideal, but electricians of all skill levels will be considered.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
- Proficiency with standard electrical tools and equipment, including hand tools used for installation and repair.
- Hands-on experience with conduit installation, including conduit bending, running conduit, and securing conduit.
- Experience with electrical wiring, pulling wire, and cable installation for power and lighting systems.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems in commercial and multi-family environments.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a crew on construction sites.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance to meet a 6:00 a.m. start time.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, construction-oriented environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Possession of a Delaware Journeyman license is a significant plus.
- Experience in commercial construction environments, including multi-unit projects.
- Familiarity with lighting systems and lighting upgrades.
- Comfort working on design-build and engineered electrical projects.
- Experience with special systems such as lighting controls, fire alarm, security, and alternative energy systems.
- Strong teamwork mindset and desire to contribute to long-term, high-quality construction projects.
