Delaware Park Casino & Racing seeks a skilled Electrician Journeyman to support our 24/7 gaming and racing facility in Wilmington, DE. In this fast-paced, guest-focused environment, you will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for gaming floors, racing operations, back-of-house areas, and outdoor facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with NEC, local codes, and regulatory standards.
You'll collaborate closely with operations, facilities, and security teams to minimize downtime while prioritizing safety and reliability. Ideal candidates bring strong commercial or industrial electrical experience, solid problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, and equipment throughout casino, racing, and entertainment facilities
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on gaming floors, back-of-house areas, and outdoor racing/parking facilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on lighting, power distribution, motors, and emergency systems
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and gaming/regulatory standards
- Coordinate with operations, facilities, and security to minimize downtime and guest impact
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Respond to emergency electrical calls in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call rotations
- Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, inspections, and repairs
- Support installation and upgrades for new gaming, audio/visual, and facility systems
- Follow strict safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times
Required Skills
