Overview
API Developer –
Work Location:
Wilmington DE, Hybrid (min 2 days in person). Implementation Partner:
Capgemini
- Create robust, secure, and scalable API endpoints and services.
- Ensure APIs meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Connect internal systems and third-party services to ensure data flows smoothly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for API usage, endpoints, and data structures.
- Implement authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth, API keys) and monitor API performance for troubleshooting.
- Work with frontend and backend developers to define requirements and ensure efficient integration.
- Minimum 6+ year of experience as software developer
- Have experience working with credit decisioning applications APIs
- Experience with REST, Graph
QL, SOAP, and API management platforms. - Strong knowledge of Backend languages like Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), or Ruby.
- Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and writing SQL queries
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and version control (e.g., Git).
