We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer / SDET to support reliability and platform testing initiatives across large‑scale streaming platforms, web, mobile, and connected‑TV ecosystems.
This is a highly automation‑driven role focused on framework development, end‑to‑end testing, CI/CD integration, and release stability. This is not a manual QA position— a strong automation and engineering mindset is required.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools
- Build automated test suites for web applications, APIs, middleware, and platform workflows
- Develop and maintain Python‑based automation scripts and testing utilities
- Perform API and backend testing using REST, JSON, Swagger, Postman, or REST Assured
- Validate Java‑based backend and middleware integrations
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Concourse, or similar)
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot failures using monitoring and logging tools
- Execute regression, reliability, integration, and performance‑focused testing
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect triage, and release readiness activities
- Collaborate with developers, Dev Ops, product, and QA teams to improve release quality
- 5+ years of QA Automation / SDET experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with Cypress and/or Selenium
- 3+ years of Python scripting experience
- Experience testing Java‑based applications or middleware
- Strong API testing experience
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins - Familiarity with JIRA, Test Rail, Octane, or similar QA tools
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience with streaming, OTT, media, or connected‑device platforms
- Mobile automation using Appium
- Experience with Playwright or modern JavaScript automation frameworks
- Performance or reliability testing using JMeter
- Exposure to Concourse CI/CD pipelines
- Experience testing on Smart TVs, Roku, Android TV, Alexa, or device‑lab environments
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Familiarity with Splunk or Datadog
