Software Engineer – Temp (12 months)

Location:

Wilmington, DE | Banking | $90.00 /hr | 40 hours/week

Overview
  • Designs and specifies information‑systems solutions and provides highly technical direction for new or existing applications to solve basic to complex problems.
  • Serves as principal application designer for major modifications, leveraging analytics, technical skills, and available technologies to evaluate client requirements and processes.
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert for enterprise‑wide initiatives, compliance and regulatory requirements, and system changes; mentors less experienced staff.
  • Provides technologically sound solutions and may complete day‑to‑day support activities and special projects.

Responsibilities
  • Define optimum technical approaches with internal application owners to improve the bank’s technology portfolio.
  • Maintain current understanding of assigned applications, enhancements, business process flows and regulatory matters.
  • Ensure technical solutions comply with the overall architectural strategy.
  • Represent the bank at vendor advisory boards, user conferences and industry events.
  • Direct, monitor and mentor cross‑functional staff; coordinate development tasks for any scope project.
  • Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans, status reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Conduct systems analysis, design and development for basic to complex projects; prepare detailed test plans and execute tests.
  • Provide consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to meet strategic objectives.
  • Maintain documentation, create charts, tables and diagrams to aid analysis, and review documentation by less experienced staff.
  • Recommend new technology, policies or processes; lead or participate in vendor software evaluations.
  • Follow development standards, promote best practices, and support risk and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in preparing expense and capital budgets and participate in performance appraisals.
What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 10 years of systems analysis/application development experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years on large system enhancements, conversions and production problem resolution.
  • Minimum of 10 years encouraging teamwork and leading and directing others.
  • Minimum of 10 years with Azure Application Architecture.
  • Minimum of 10 years with C# .NET Core.
  • Minimum of 10 years with ETL Frameworks and Data Architecture.
What Sets You Apart
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Familiar with application development software and hardware platforms.
  • Proficiency with PCs and project management, word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Capable of working on multiple complex projects.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, lateral thinker, strong project‑management skills.
  • Complete understanding of the system development life cycle.
  • Strong analytical skills and decision‑making ability.
  • Good understanding of the bank’s application framework and a mastery of system and support projects beyond BAU.
  • Mentoring and leadership capabilities from a project‑management perspective.
  • Self‑motivated, able to motivate others and handle multiple tasks.
