Algorithmic Research Scientist in Machine Learning (PhD)
We are seeking a recent college graduate (PhD) with a background in machine learning to join our dynamic startup-like environment as an individual contributor. The candidate should have a strong background in biomedical datasets and/or time series, including pre-processing, algorithm development, and validation, and must be solution-oriented.
Responsibilities- Work with biomedical, unstandardized data from collection to downstream tasks (clustering/classification).
- Quickly prototype solutions and proof of concepts for uncharted application domains where solutions might exist in the literature.
- If potential is identified, communicate with domain experts and stay abreast of the state of the art to develop novel algorithms that provide a market edge.
- Apply strong understanding of signal processing and machine learning models to develop solutions from literature or novel approaches to meet performance measures.
- Support hardware and software teams with algorithmic solutions to ensure data quality measurement, comparison, and improvement.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
- Strong background in machine learning.
- Excellent mathematics and algorithm development abilities.
- Fundamental knowledge of modeling and quick prototyping skills.
- Proficiency in Python, familiarity with C++ or
C. - Interdisciplinary team collaboration experience is preferred.

Expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $144,000 to $198,000.

- This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus based on personal and company factors.
