Nuclear Calibration & Test Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and moderately complex calibrations and testing activities
• Set up and execute test procedures and collect/analyze test data
• Maintain accurate calibration, testing, and traceability records
• Compute, analyze, and document test results
• Develop conclusions and prepare technical reports
• Interact with clients and vendors to resolve technical issues
• Assist with troubleshooting non-conforming or out-of-tolerance conditions
• Support process improvements and procurement of testing equipment/components
• Work independently both in laboratory and remote field environments
• Respond to occasional off-hours or urgent client requests

• Associate degree, equivalent technical education, or PMEL training with no experience required
• High school diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Basic computer skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle
• Must be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities

• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to load/unload company vehicles
• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms up to 10 feet
• Willingness to work onsite in nuclear plant and industrial environments
• Work may involve exposure to high-voltage equipment and chemicals
• Some work performed in environmentally controlled laboratory settings and at client sites
