Marine Technician​/Boat Mechanic

Harborside Marina is a first class and full service marina located on the Illinois River near the mouth of the Kankakee River. We started in 1987 as a family-owned marina and continue to provide committed service to our customers. Big or small, we do it all here at Harborside Marina! Our team is dedicated to helping customers purchase and service the perfect boat, while maintaining the landscape and numerous amenities to provide a beautiful marina for people to enjoy.

Role Description

Full-time | Tues-Sat | 7am - 4pm | Lunch 12pm-1pm

The nice part about this position is that you’ll be doing something different each day.

Day-to-day responsibilities include: mechanical work, moving boats in the spring and fall, shrink wrapping, winterizing, dock repair, general labor, etc.
Previous mechanical experience is preferred.

Start at $22 - 32 an hour based on skills and knowledge. Take advantage of 401(k) matching along with dental, health, vision, and life insurance options. Qualifications

• Boat maintenance and repair skills
• Experience working with boats
• Knowledge of motors and electrical wiring
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certifications in marine technology or related field are a plus
• Prior experience in a marina or boatyard is beneficial
