Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Non‑CDL Yard Driver in Wilmington, IL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Paid weekly. Hourly pay: $22.00 per hour. Hours per week: 40 or more. Paid training. Sign‑on bonus: $500 at 30 days and $500 at 90 days.
Schedule:
Wednesday – Saturday. Start time: 11:00 AM Wednesday, 5:00 AM Thursday – Saturday.

Local Home Daily Yard Driver. Tractor type:
Yard Truck. Trailer type: 53' Containers. Equipment:
Electric Pallet Jack. Non‑CDL, DOT Medical Card required.
Trucks: 36 months or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance, company provides fuel at 800+ maintenance facilities nationwide.

- Minimum 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment:
- 9 months in the past 3 years
- 2 years in the past 5 years
- 5 years in the past 10 years
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor vehicle check, DOT physical, Yard Driver Examination
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Safely handle and maneuver tractor trailer on the yard (not public roads)
- Compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Maintain accurate move and yard inventory records and other tasks as assigned
