Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Non‑CDL Yard Driver in Wilmington, IL – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Benefits- Weekly pay – $880 or more a week
- Hourly pay: $22.00 per hour
- Hours:
40 or more per week - Paid training
- Sign‑on bonus: $500 at 30 days and $500 at 90 days
- Schedule:
Wednesdays through Saturdays - Start times: 11:00 AM Wednesday, 5:00 AM Thursday‑Saturday
- Tractor truck with 53’ containers and electric pallet jack
- Ryder provides all necessary equipment training
- Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
- 80 hours PTO your first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)
- Boot allowance
- Driver‑controlled safety decisions; protected job role
- 401(k) rollover available now with company match at 1 year
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave (eligibility depends on tenure)

- Minimum 21 years of age
- Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment:
- 9 months in the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years in the past 5 years, OR
- 5 years in the past 10 years
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from prior employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Yard Driver Examination
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, or procedures
- Must possess a DOT medical card
- Safely handle and maneuver tractor‑trailers within the yard; cannot drive on public roads
- Maintain compliance with safety and DOT regulations, participate in continuous training, and deliver customer service
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs, including move and yard inventory records
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
