Driver Non CDL Yard

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Non‑CDL Yard Driver in Wilmington, IL – offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Weekly pay – $880 or more a week
• Hourly pay: $22.00 per hour
• Hours:
  
  40 or more per week
• Paid training
• Sign‑on bonus: $500 at 30 days and $500 at 90 days
• Schedule:
  
  Wednesdays through Saturdays
• Start times: 11:00 AM Wednesday, 5:00 AM Thursday‑Saturday
• Tractor truck with 53’ containers and electric pallet jack
• Ryder provides all necessary equipment training
• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days
• 80 hours PTO your first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment:
  • 9 months in the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years in the past 5 years, OR
  • 5 years in the past 10 years
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from prior employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Yard Driver Examination
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, or procedures
• Must possess a DOT medical card

• Safely handle and maneuver tractor‑trailers within the yard; cannot drive on public roads
• Maintain compliance with safety and DOT regulations, participate in continuous training, and deliver customer service
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs, including move and yard inventory records
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
