Driver Non CDL Yard Spotter

Overview

Ryder is hiring a Non CDL Truck Driver in Wilmington, IL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay: $22.50 per hour with ~40+ hours per week. Start time: 5:00am (Dispatch).

Schedule:

Sunday - Wednesday. Training:
Paid. Location options include local routes with home daily arrangement.

• Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard; driving on public roads is not required for this position
• Compliance with safety and DOT regulations; participate in continuous training and provide customer service
• Maintain accurate records and logs; support yard operations and related tasks as assigned
• Other duties as assigned to support yard and driving operations

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment with either:
• 9 months of experience in the past 3 years, or
• 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or
• 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
• Pass Ryder Drug Test; pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and a Yard Driver Examination
