Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Non CDL Truck Driver in Wilmington, IL. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay & Schedule
  • Hourly Pay: $24.50 per hour
  • Weekly Pay: $980 or more per week
  • Hours:

    40+ per week
  • Schedule:

    Sunday – Wednesday
  • Paid Training

Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Verifiable driving experience in similar equipment:
    • 9 months in past 3 years, or
    • 2 years in past 5 years, or
    • 5 years in past 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background check, including drug & alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Yard Driver Examination
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers in the yard, but not driving on public roads
  • Compliance with safety and DOT regulations, continuous training and customer service
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs; moving and yard inventory records
  • Other tasks as assigned
Additional Information

The position does not require a CDL, but candidates who hold a CDL will be subject to FMCSA requirements. Some positions may require additional screening, employment and education verification, motor vehicle record checks, road tests, or background checks.
