If this describes you, please read on! Among the current openings, we’re on the lookout for a Senior UAS Technician who will support the manufacturing and assembly of its UAV products. A successful candidate will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment using assorted types of equipment and processes, while being motivated to deliver the highest quality products to our customers.
The ideal candidate is a roll-up-your-sleeves, high energy, collaborative UAS enthusiast who works well on a team and individually. Full-time position based in our Wilmington, Massachusetts headquarters.
- Product Assembly and Configuration: Assemble and configure products according to established specifications and instructions. Configuring flight control software using Mission Planner
- Quality Assurance: Perform and document all in-process quality checks and operational tests to qualify UAS products prior to delivery.
- Firmware Updates: Installing and updating internal drone software to ensure the vehicle conforms to design standards.
- System Calibration: Aligning and calibrating gimbals, compasses, IMUs
- Precision Soldering: Using microscopes for micro‑miniature board‑level repairs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Associate Degree (A.S. or A.A.S.), BA in a relevant field.
- 7+ years of experience in assembling electro‑mechanical products, hands‑on experience in drone repair, RC systems, or aerospace electronics.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (Mandatory for flight testing).
- IPC J‑STD‑001 (Soldering)
- Perform board‑level troubleshooting and repair on Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs), power distribution boards, and integrated sensor suites (Camera Payloads, RTK, Multispectral).
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, Able to handle, manipulate, and assemble small components with a variety of hand tools. Use Multimeter, DC Power Supply, Electronics Wire stripper.
