A Warranty Buyer is responsible for the end-to-end warranty procurement and recovery function. This role ensures timely recovery of warranty costs, effective supplier accountability, and the development of efficient processes supporting quality notifications, claims management, and materials recovery.

• Procurement activities related to warranty parts, claims, services, and recovery documentation.
• Oversee supplier accountability efforts for warranty related nonconformance, defects, and chargebacks.
• Ensure timely processing and closure of warranty claims, credits, and supplier returns (RTVs).
• Monitor warranty cost trends and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.

• Own the end-to-end recovery process, including data validation, claim submission, tracking, and resolution.
• Align with finance to ensure accurate booking, reporting, and reconciliation of warranty recovery dollars.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers for warranty disputes, chargebacks, and root cause related costs.
• Establish documented recovery standards, timelines, and escalation paths.

• Serve as primary point of contact for suppliers regarding warranty claims and recovery issues.
• Maintain strong relationships while holding suppliers accountable for quality and contractual obligations.
• Conduct supplier performance reviews that include warranty trends, defect rates, and response timeliness.
• Ensure adherence to warranty clauses, service levels, and cost recovery terms.
