Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on field experience in heavy civil / site / concrete work. 3+ years of managing multiple

complex projects and estimates. Ideal candidate must be ambitious and a motivated self-starter with the ability to manage and

oversee multiple projects d to have a positive and can-do attitude, with strong organizational and interpersonal

skills to clearly express the overall objectives for each individual project. Candidates must be able to to work independently

with little direction. The ability to make decisions in fast a paced and demanding environment is also required.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT DUTIES: (will be required to manage multiple projects)

• Become the lead point of contact for the General Contractor. Manage and handle all (do you want to delete this word) correspondence with GC (i.e. create and submit RFI’s, provide additional pricing & extra work pricing, create & track project submittals, review GC project schedule, attend weekly project meeting) for each project
• Develop and maintain MJS internal job schedule with milestone completion dates for individual tasks
• Perform pre-construction checklist (i.e. DIG SAFE #, certificate of insurance, job specific contact names, scheduling of work, preparation of submittal packages, fulfill any permit requirements and obtain all permits necessary)
• Perform complete quantitative take-off for pricing and ordering of project specific materials (ie. utility structures/piping/crushed stone & gravel, curbing etc.) & subcontractors (ie. saw cutting, utility wet taps, paving contractors, equipment & labor needs, etc),
• Perform regular site visits to evaluate the progress and efficiencies of each project. Identify any issues that might need to be addressed with M.J. Scully personnel or General Contractor. Review the quality of work that is being performed along with the overall safety of the project.
• Communicate daily with MJS field personnel to resolve any problems or issues. Need to have full awareness of progress and required tasks for each project on a day-to-day basis. Need to have full knowledge of what extra work and being performed and when it is scheduled to be performed, and communicate this to the GC.
• Schedule & coordinate with MJS field personnel material deliveries & scheduled subcontractors. Need to be 3 steps ahead of the field to ensure they get what they need when they need it.
• Maintain high energy “Can Do” / Positive Attitude with vendors, subs, clients and fellow employees
• Be proactive and try to anticipate potential problems. Be an innovative problem solver to get the project completed
• Maintenance of job books including all correspondence, RFI’s, submittals, and vendor/sub pricing. Need to ensure that project related paperwork does not lapse.
• Weekly review of daily reports to monitor and confirm work completed during that week, and to confirm if there were any project related issues and/or extra work change order items performed.
• Work with accounting to approve and process all invoices
• Create “safety first” culture for each project. Ensure that each project is being performed safely and in compliance with Corporate safety policy

As a project manager you need to read and thoroughly understand the construction drawings, scope of work and

specifications for each project. You will need to oversee daily activities for each project you are involved in and ensure

that all material is procured within the proper timeframe and all loose ends are tied up (submission and issuance of all permits, dig safe # issued, submittals transmitted, RFI). Communication is a vital component with this position, you

need to ensure that the owners, onsite Foreman and Superintendent are fully aware of any project related changes

and/or communications. You will be required to follow through on any field related issues brought up by either MJS

field personnel or the GC.

Salary Range: $140K – 180K yearly
