The Wilmington Public Schools district is seeking a Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant for a long‑term substitute position. The role involves direct service delivery, data tracking, consultation, and program integration in a pull‑out or classroom setting.

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $160 to $160 Per Day

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct small group or one‑to‑one services in a pull‑out model or within the classroom setting.
  • Track progress using data collection.
  • Consult with the supervising SLP to develop and monitor goals for students.
  • Provide services and maintain programs based on goals set by IEP or Learning Plan.
  • Serve individual children in one‑to‑one or small group settings as appropriate.
  • Consult classroom teachers to better meet individual children’s communication needs within the group.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate the speech/language program into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the team to create educational plans for annual reviews and provide input for students involved in the three‑year re‑evaluation or initial evaluation.
  • Attend parent conferences as needed.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Perform other duties as designated by the Principal/Director of Student Support Services or their designee.
  • Provide summer services as required by student IEPs.
Job Requirements
  • License in SLP‑A.
  • Previous experience as an SLP‑A in a public school setting.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
