We are seeking a Behavioral Intervention Educational Assistant at the Early Childhood Centers to support students with and without disabilities in achieving their educational goals. The Educational Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Work under the supervision of the school adjustment counselors and special education teachers to support the delivery of social and emotional/behavioral interventions within the general education classroom or any other setting within the school where instruction may be occurring.
- Provide students a variety of supports (social, emotional, and behavioral) to meet the varied and individual needs of each student.
- Assist school staff by implementing student accommodations according to individual IEPs, 504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans, and/or the District Curriculum Accommodation Plan.
- Assist school staff by collecting data on students’ behaviors, goals, and/or objectives.
- Work with students individually or in groups to support access to learning and the development of social/emotional skills.
- Work collaboratively with all school and district staff.
- Deliver focused, individualized behavioral support aligned with students’ needs.
- Provide real-time coaching, redirection, and de-escalation skills and strategies.
- Participate in meetings, Safety Care training, and professional development opportunities as assigned by the building or district administrator.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff to co-design, model, and reinforce effective behavior management strategies and social-emotional learning techniques.
- Maintain professional working relationships with all staff.
- Attend staff meetings as designated by the Educational Assistant contract.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of their work with all students and staff.
- Other related duties as assigned by the ECC building principal.
This position is split between both the Wildwood and Boutwell Early Childhood Centers (ECC).

Job Requirements- Experience working with children age 4-6 years old
- Experience supporting students with disabilities
- Experience in Early Childhood or Elementary school setting
- Coursework or classes in the field of education, social work, or child development
- Safety Care Certified or ability to participate in Safety Care training
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
