About This RoleWe believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
We are seeking a talented test engineer with a Mechanical or Test Engineering background to support a major US Air Force Program. As a Test Engineer, you will perform planning, coordination, and execution of component, subsystem, and system level tests as well as other evaluation activities across the program. A strong candidate will possess at least 2+ years related experience. You will have the opportunity to work in a multi‑disciplined team environment and directly support our nation’s war fighters.

- Plan, coordinate, and schedule test and evaluation activities to ensure that test requirements and objectives are met per customer/program requirements and engineering and quality standards
- Prepare and/or review test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews and test reports for functional, environmental, and field tests
- Support in‑house and field data collection activities including setup and operation of data acquisition systems, accelerometers, strain gauges, high‑speed cameras, and other test instrumentation
- Support test activities including product installation, integration, test, data acquisition and analysis
- Perform preliminary “quick‑look” analysis and provide post‑test debriefs to engineering team and customers
- Coordinate with appropriate program, engineering, and external organizations during test planning, execution, analysis and reporting phases
- Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills
- 10 – 15% Travel
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years related experience (Level II).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years related experience (Level III).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge and/or experience using electrical/mechanical test instrumentation is a plus
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Government Security Clearance;
Active Secret clearance preferred - Must be able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and have good organizational skills
- * This role is open at multiple levels. Candidates will be hired at a level consistent with their background and experience:
- Level II: $92,600–$139,600
- Level III: $115,800–$176,200

CompensationTextron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only.
Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is $92,600 – $176,200 per year.
