Responsibilities
Physical Sciences Inc. has openings in our Imperia Batteries® division for individuals with strong technical and communication skills to join our team. Candidates are sought who are effective in working in a team environment to develop, manufacture and commercialize innovative lithium-ion cell and battery designs based on advanced materials for DOD and commercial customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform validation of new manufacturing equipment including performing IQ, OQ, PQ and optimization of operating parameters.
- Investigate implementation of new materials into existing and future cell designs from powder to finished cell.
- Troubleshoot equipment and manage preventative maintenance workflow.
- Statistical analysis of process distributions and yields from electrode coating to cell testing.
- Propose methods for continuous improvement of existing processes to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and workplace safety.
- Implement novel manufacturing techniques for next-generation lithium-ion cells.
- Interface with R&D and production staff for the transition of new cell designs from development to production.
- Develop tooling and fixturing to support manufacturing and R&D efforts.
- Author SOPs and train technicians after the implementation of a new process or equipment.

Excellent English written and oral communication skills are required.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Pay Range: $95,000 – $115,000 annually
