Job Description

The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for maintaining quality systems, including procedure and policy compliance, continued conformance to AS9100D, and ISO
9001:2015 requirements, hosting 3rd party and agency audits, as well as maintaining an effective corrective/preventive action system for internal and external problems. This position will also function as liaison for various customers in order to resolve quality issues, ensure appropriate flow down of quality requirements, enable positive channels of communication, and ensure customer satisfaction.

This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining quality systems, procedure and policy compliance, and continued conformance to AS9100D and ISO
    9001:2015 requirements
  • Represents company during 3rd party and agency audits, ensure corrective/preventive action system is effective for internal and external problems.
  • Function as primary liaison for various customers in order to resolve quality issues, ensure appropriate flow down of quality requirements, enable positive channels of communication, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Represents company during external audits, such as AS9100/ISO
    9001, FAA, GE S1000 and all other major customers, ensure corrective/preventive action system is effective for internal and external problems
  • Primary interface with customers in order to resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensure quality manual and procedures meet standards of AS9100 and ISO
    9001 and other specified customer requirements.
  • Manage corrective action system by issuing and monitoring corrective action as requested and required for product and internal audit findings.
  • Providing status on internal and external corrective action, ensure responses are adequate to prevent recurrence of nonconformance and report progress of program to management.
  • Develop quality plans for new product introduction based on APQP/PPAP principles.
  • Prepare first article reports in accordance with AS9102 and customer specific requirements.
  • Contact review for new products and repairs by reviewing purchase orders, travelers and other documentation to ensure product meets purchase order requirements.
  • Review Engineering Orders and participate in new design product/design review in order to ensure quality requirements are identified and captured in appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in MRB activity for designated product lines; provide guidance with customer MRB requirements and assist in corrective action.
Requirements for Consideration
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5-7 years as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Aerospace experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with customer quality release programs (FAA DMIR, GE DSQR, etc)
  • Experience working with customer specific quality flow downs and regulatory specifications.
  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Proven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal skills, well developed problem-solving skills, solid organization skills, and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of organization
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Ambitious and flexible person who wants to learn and grow professionally
  • Strong computer skills are a must, to include:
    Word, Excel, Power Point

Salary Minimum: $110,000

Salary Maximum: $130,000
