Structural Analyst II/III – Job Number: 342517

This role is in Textron Systems' Weapon Systems business area and is responsible for performing structural analysis and design of flight vehicles in the Strategic Missiles Business Line. The position requires expertise in CAD models, FEA tools, and other structural analysis software, with results summarized in presentations and detailed design analysis reports.

• Perform static and dynamic structural analyses of flight vehicles in strategic missiles and reentry vehicle areas.
• Utilize commercial off-the-shelf tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and Textron developed software tools to generate structural characteristics and responses.
• Define recommended changes to improve the performance and efficiency of structural design features.
• Summarize results and design application techniques through presentations and design analysis reports.
• Travel up to 5% may be required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of structural analysis and design experience (Level II) or 5+ years for Level III.
• Demonstrated capability in using COTS structural/mechanical tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, MATLAB) and a desire to learn Textron developed software.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to document analysis methodology and results.
• Excellent communication skills for documenting and presenting structural analysis techniques and results.
• Active security clearance preferred; eligibility for clearance required.

Compensation:
Level II – $92,600 to $139,600;
Level III – $115,800 to $176,200 per year.
