The Space Superiority group seeks a Lead, Integration & Test Engineer to support AgileEO Metrology’s space‑based telescopes. The role involves technical analysis, specification management, design review, and test verification for electro‑optical components under strict security clearance requirements.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and integrate advanced electro‑optical systems for space‑based applications, ensuring compliance with specifications and mission requirements.
  • Coordinate with program leadership to develop a technical plan and path forward for program execution.
  • Manage major subcontract cost, schedule, and performance, and oversee Mission Payload Flight AI&T activities.
  • Design, plan, and execute test procedures for electro‑optical components and systems; analyze test data to validate performance against requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, propose corrective actions, and implement solutions.
  • Define, manage, and maintain system and sub‑system level requirements, ensuring traceability and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams from conceptual design to final delivery and operation.
  • Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, work instructions, test reports, and anomaly reports.
  • Develop and evaluate trade studies to support decision‑making processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors and U.S. Government customers, to ensure alignment and project success.
  • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure successful system integration and test.
  • Prepare presentations to communicate technical information to non‑technical professionals.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance test methodologies and system integration practices.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their development and growth within the team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific discipline and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience; or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in an integration and test role.
  • 5+ years of experience with EO/IR aerospace systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with engineering and simulation software tools, such as MATLAB.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred.
  • Experience with space systems engineering, including knowledge of space environments, satellite systems, and mission design; familiarity with NASA‑STD‑1540 and/or NASA‑STD‑7002.
  • Experience leading technical teams, managing projects, and coordinating cross‑functional engineering activities.
  • Proficiency in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and traditional systems engineering tools such as DOORS, CAMEO, CREO, JIRA, and SysML.
  • Proficiency in optical and electro‑optical testing techniques and equipment; experience with optical design, sensors, detectors, and imaging systems.
  • Strong understanding of system integration processes and best practices.
  • Experience as Control Account Manager (CAM) and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
