Job SummaryTextron Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team. The engineer will work with a multi‑disciplinary design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program. The engineer will develop new designs and transition those designs into military‑qualified hardware, focusing on mixed‑signal electronics design, switching power supply design, ordnance initiation, and high‑density PWAs. Allegro schematic capture, PSPICE or LTSpice and other simulation tools will be used.
The Design Engineering team supports advanced emerging programs for military customers.
- Design and develop mixed‑signal electronic designs.
- Collaborate in a cross‑functional discipline environment.
- B.S. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of mixed‑signal electronics design experience (Level II).
- B.S. in Robotics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of mixed‑signal electronics design experience (Level III).
- Power supply design experience.
- Experience designing high‑density printed circuit boards.
- Knowledge of Allegro schematic capture.
- Performed worst‑case circuit analysis of various circuits.
- Familiarity with parts derating guidelines and uses.
- Proficient in LT‑SPICE or PSPICE simulation.
- Familiarity with lab instrumentation, testing, and debugging.
- Familiarity supporting PCB and PWA layout.
- Familiarity with high‑speed digital design, impedance control, and data buses.
- Active security clearance preferred; eligibility for clearance required.
This role is open at multiple levels. Candidates will be hired at a level consistent with their background and experience:
- Level II: $92,600 – $139,600
- Level III: $115,800 – $176,200
- Flexible work schedules: compressed work week schedules providing additional days off such as 9/80 and 4/10s.
