Harris Technologies has an immediate opening for a Lead Space Systems Engineer in Wilmington, MA. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process, will have direct and significant experience designing and testing complex systems, and will be comfortable coordinating teams of technical personnel on space applications.

Harris is looking for Systems Engineers to help design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver critical space-based remote sensing systems to our customers.
Essential Functions:
- Support concept of operation development and requirements analysis, decomposition, and generation at various levels of the system, including space systems.
- Develop and implement Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and frameworks to support engineering projects, with a focus on space systems.
- Conduct systems modeling and simulation to analyze system performance and validate requirements, specifically for space systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and alignment of MBSE practices within space systems projects.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance in the application of MBSE across the organization, especially in space systems.
- Conduct training and mentoring for engineering staff on MBSE tools and best practices, with an emphasis on space systems experience.
- Ability to obtain a US Government TS/SCI Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- 5+ years experience in MBSE tools such as Magic Draw, Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect.
- Experience operating in a systems engineering role related to aerospace systems products/systems
Preferred Additional
Skills:
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or similar certification.
- Experience with SysML (Systems Modeling Language).
- Prior experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in space systems.
