As part of the Hardware CAD organization, you will work with programs at all phases of the product lifecycle to develop and document designs from conceptual representation through final documentation. You will maintain the integrity of product data through PLM and CAD tools, enact changes, and manage large, complex project models with minimal oversight. You will communicate with internal and external stakeholders to influence practices, processes, and approaches, and you will drive significant improvements in processes, systems, or products that impact business results.
EssentialFunctions
- Develop and maintain solid CAD models aligned with L3
Harris processes. - Create documentation (drawings, etc.) as part of the product data set.
- Implement changes to product data based on guidance from the program team.
- Assist program teams during major milestones and reviews.
- Support task development as appropriate.
- Contribute to proposal development.
- Manage large and complex CAD models and associated data.
- Obtain and maintain US security clearance eligibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, technology, or CAD specialization plus minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Graduate degree plus minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of professional experience using PTC CREO.
- Professional experience with Oracle Agile PLM or PTC Windchill.
- Proficiency with GD&T.
- Prior work within aerospace design environments.
- Active U.S. security clearance highly preferred.
- Experience with configuration management and product data management processes.
- Familiarity with additive and subtractive manufacturing processes.
- Experience managing large product configurations and associated data.
- Knowledge of project management.
- Familiarity with MRP, MRPII, and/or ERP systems.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C., Denver, or NYC areas is $91,500 – $170,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation; final offers may vary based on experience and location.
