Position Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support our manufacturing operations through effective coordination of domestic and international logistics activities. This role will be responsible for shipment coordination, customs-related processes, inventory flow, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials and finished goods. The ideal candidate must have experience in manufacturing logistics, customs operations, and strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel usage.
Responsibilities:
Typical activities include:
- Coordinate and manage inbound and outbound shipments of raw materials and finished goods between Mexico and the United States.
- Monitor transportation schedules and ensure timely delivery to customers and production operations.
- Execute and monitor import/export transactions under IMMEX regulations, ensuring compliance with customs, trade, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearance of shipments and resolution of customs-related issues.
- Prepare, validate, and maintain import/export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, Pedimentos, and related customs records to support audit readiness and compliance.
- Support production operations by ensuring material availability, tracking inventory movements, and optimizing material flow.
- Analyze logistics performance data, generate reports, and support initiatives focused on cost reduction, process efficiency, and inventory control.
- Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, customs hold, and logistics-related issues impacting operational performance.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in logistics operations within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience managing US–Mexico cross-border logistics, including import/export operations and customs compliance. Experience on IMMEX program requirements, Mexican customs regulations, and international trade documentation. Advanced English and Spanish proficiency (written and verbal) with the ability to operate effectively in a bilingual environment.
Strong Excel, data analysis, and reporting skills. Experience with ERP systems and logistics software. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Valid US visa or ability to travel to the United States as business needs require
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and in proximity to loud equipment. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to see and respond to at-risk situations. Must be able to wear personal protective gear when in industrial locations. Must be able to sit for longer periods of time as well as move about throughout the office and production, / laboratory environment.
