Procurement Coordinator

Heilind Electronics is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to support purchasing activities for our wholesale electronics distribution business. In this role, you will create and manage purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and maintain optimal inventory levels for interconnect, electromechanical, and sensor products. You will work closely with suppliers, sales, and operations teams to resolve shortages, expedite critical orders, and ensure data accuracy in our ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Create, process, and track purchase orders for electronic components and related products
• Monitor inventory levels and align purchasing with demand forecasts and customer requirements
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and order status; expedite critical shipments
• Maintain accurate item, vendor, and order data in the ERP/MRP system
• Coordinate with sales and operations to resolve shortages, backorders, and delivery issues
• Analyze purchasing and inventory reports to support cost, service, and fill-rate goals
• Assist with vendor performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support implementation of purchasing best practices and process standardization
