Tecomet, a global leader in high-precision manufacturing, is expanding its 3rd shift CNC team in Wilmington, MA. As a CNC Machinist, you’ll help produce complex parts that support the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries. This is a great opportunity for skilled machinists seeking a clean, modern environment and room to grow.
The Work You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to tight tolerances
- Machine a variety of metal components across complex geometries
- Perform tooling changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools
- Conduct hand finishing and basic machine maintenance
- Maintain job documentation, routers, and production logs
- Contribute to Lean and 5S initiatives on the shop floor
- Support quality, safety, and productivity goals
You’ll work with:
- Machines
: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes (multi-brand) - Controls

: ERP/job router systems
Required:
- 3+ years CNC machining experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience setting up and running CNC machines independently
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision inspection tools
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred:
- Associate’s degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining
- Experience in a high‑mix, low‑volume production shop
- Exposure to medical or aerospace machining standards
