About the Role
Union Office Interiors is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive revenue growth and expand our presence across the New England market. This is a senior-level, client-facing role responsible for owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting and relationship development to closing and project execution. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in commercial office furniture sales, strong industry relationships, and the ability to deliver consultative solutions that align with client business goals.
Responsibilities- Business Development & Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow market share across New England
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within corporate, institutional, and commercial sectors
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and referrals
- Manage the full sales cycle including needs analysis, solution development, proposal creation, negotiation, and close.
- Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire project life cycle.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with end users, A&D firms, commercial real estate brokers, and project stakeholders.
- Deliver a highly consultative approach to uncover client objectives and translate them into tailored furniture and workplace solutions.
- Project & Team Coordination
- Lead internal project team strategy (design, project management, operations) to ensure seamless execution
- Collaborate with manufacturers and partners to deliver competitive, high-quality solutions
- Oversee project progress, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are met or exceeded
- Market Presence
- Represent UOI at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities
- Leverage existing relationships while continuously expanding your professional network in the region
- 5+ years of commercial office furniture sales experience at the dealer level
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the contract furniture industry, dealer environment, and project lifecycle
- Experience managing multiple accounts and complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to win
- Established relationships within the A&D, CRE, and construction communities
- Experience with Allsteel, HNI, or comparable contract furniture manufacturers
- Ability to read floor plans and participate in solution development
