Job Overview
We are seeking a Repair Technician II who will be part of our Service Center of Excellence organization. The role requires thriving in fast‑paced, solutions‑oriented, and creative environments. The primary responsibility is to execute all functions of repair of Symbot's mobile robots and subassemblies under limited supervision, following Operations Method Sheets and providing feedback to management on any discrepancies that affect quality or efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work by studying Operation Method Sheets, sequence of events, drawings, and parts lists; gather required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies using templates, fixtures, or measurements.
- Assemble components, ensuring correct fit and fastening of parts and subassemblies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot damage or defects in the robot or subassembly to determine repair requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Document actions by completing repair logs, travelers, and quality forms.
- Test electromechanical subassemblies for functionality and quality.
- Work well in small groups.
- Perform troubleshooting of the robotic vehicle fleet, identifying anomalies and stoppages using schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Assist engineers with activities for robot improvements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing assembly environment.
- Proficiency reading schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Computer skills with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Initiative‑taking and highly organized.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical test equipment.
- Ability to train contractors in all aspects of this role.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks. - Self‑motivated and demonstrates initiative.
- Hands‑on skill set with readiness to learn in a demanding environment.
Physical Requirements
- Steep stairs and construction‑site conditions; PPE may be required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection).
- Exposure to high railings; ability to work at heights up to 45 ft, and within restrictive areas of 24 in.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lb and move up to 80 lb repeatedly.
- Stand or walk for 10–12 hours; frequent reaching and handling of objects.
- Ability to perform repetitive movement using both hands and feet and comply with lock‑out/tag‑out and fall‑protection protocols.

Benefits and Compensation
The base range for this position in the posted location is $22.60–$31.21 per hour; compensation may vary based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, and other programs.
